I've only been drawing at a 1 per month pace I think. I don't know what it is. I've started many drawings, but finished very little. So that's my status with my drawing. Basically zilch.
I've become supervisor at my apparel retail job, which resulted in a higher pay. Which is always nice. It's led me to purchase a brand new car. Subaru Impreza WRX 2006 in a World Rally Blue color. I've not driven many different manufacturer cars, but I think it's safe to say that out of the ones I've driven, this car has great specs at a reasonable price. Needless to say I'll be paying for it the next few years, but I think I'll be happy with the car for a larger amount of years.
I've actually autocrossed the car now also. For those who aren't familiar with autocrossing, it's a little event where many people get together, set a course on a parking lot/track, and have fun. Times are recorded, but the main focus is to learn your car's potential, and perhaps polish your reflexes in case of emergency situations. Depending on what drive train your car has, you'd want to know how to steer your car when the back end slides etc. Though, I've only had a chance to autocross my WRX once, so I might be in for a few surprises this upcoming winter. It's All Whell Drive, so I'm not worried about traction, but since it's AWD, it'll act completely differently depending on the amount I counter-steer in case of a slip.
Enough about cars.
How about gaming.... How. About. Gaming. Not many games have caught my interest recently. I've played Dead Rising(360). I was disappointed. I don't suggest purchasing it. Download the demo off LIVE, and you'll be good. Saints Row(360). Good for the first couple hours. There's only so much time eye candy can keep you glued to your TV. I don't recommend it. Okami(PS2). This game you should probably get. I've only played the first few hours so far, but I loved what I saw so far. Final Fantasy 12(PS2). I've already played the Japanese version, but since the English version is nearing release, I'll bring this up. It doesn't matter if you're unsure about the new battle system. Get this game. It has a great storyline, many side quests, great characters with unique backgrounds, orchestral impacting soundtrack, and a great battle system. You just have to play the game if you're a fan of RPG. It's a great new direction for the series. Oh, and I've tried downloading and playing the demo for Tenchu Senran (360). It's.... meh. Not a big fan of the controls, not a big fan of the character movement. Not a big fan of the graphics, and not a big fan of the character creation. Overall, not a big fan.
PlayStation3? Hel-lo PlayStation 3. You sexy black sleek shiny... thing. Put me down for a pre-order, and I'll get Heavenly Sword, Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo HD, and Motor Storm to go wtih that (though I think only one of the games I've stated is an actual launch game...). Oh look, my bank account is empty now... Oh well. I'll just charge my friends if they want to play my PS3.
Anime. Great animes to watch for me. It's very rare for me, since I'm not even that much of an anime lover. Sure, I love the occasional Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Cromartie and Azumanga, but I'm really not the type to watch every single episode of a long-term show (such as Naruto, Bleach etc.). However. This season might be a bit different. I've watched all shows of GINTAMA from the last season. Love that show. Love the comics even more. That's a comic you really can't enjoy unless you're uber fluent with Japanese, and familiar with the old-school comics/shows. In any case, I'll continue to watch Gintama. What a hilarious show. Took them long enough. DEATH NOTE. I actually haven't finished reading the comics yet, because I've been too lazy (and broke) to order the last 2 comics. However, I've watched the first anime show, and it's fantastic. The anime style they've used, the voice actors, the soundtrack, it's all good. There's just no way they can get DEATH NOTE wrong. Because if they did, angry fan mobsters will probably destroy that anime studio. Oh, and BUSOU RENKIN. I'm not even sure if this show has a different english name. In any case, watched the first episode. I enjoyed it. Not sure if it was interesting enough for me to continue watching, but I'll give it a try. Oh, and those who are in for the quirky, why not give DISGAEA a chance?
That should be good for the day. Or month. Or maybe even a year. I will keep you updated. When I feel like it. Whoever took the time to read my load of junk, you are a good person. Perhaps with too much time on your hands, but that's fine. It's what leads to creativity. I think. Take it easy people. I will submit more pictures if they're remotely presentable.
(Currently working on a picture of Clair Redfield. We'll see what happens...)
